:(

So I was at the supermarket today and a lady commented to her daughter (about 5years old) about the cute little baby, referring obviously to my bubba! Her daughter told me that her mum was having a baby and then asked when the baby in my tummy was coming out?! :( and I thought my tummy was shrinking.....obviously not :(

Things you only see living in a country town...... 2 ducks happily swimming in a (reasonably big) puddle on the side of the road!

Last night I found a badge/button/pin (what ever you want to call it) that said "sometimes I laugh so hard the tears run run down my legs!" it still makes me laugh thinking about it hahahahahahahahahahahHahahahahahahaha :)

Cat naps and in laws

So I am very grateful that my son sleeps at night and has done for a week now! But during the day we have now such luck :( He seems to only want to cat nap, for say 10-20 mins which doesn't give me a lot of time to do anything. In fact if I manage to put washing on then that is a miracle, needless to say I am dreding the moment that someone comes knocking on the door unannounced!!

Speaking of visitors, we've just my MIL and grandmother in law here for the weekend. I'm pretty lucky that I have great in laws and neither of them had anything negative or annoying to say! Though I didn't get to see my son very often, only for feedings. Though it was great for him to have someone else to interact with.

Ooohhhhh I saw a lizard on our walk today!

Pram hands!!

I've just discovered that I now have what I have termed "pram hands"!! The tops of my hands and the first section of each finger is tanned and the bits around my nails and up to the second joint of each finger is quite pale. It's like I'm wearing fingerless gloves!!
I'll have to try and do something to make the tan even. Though I have to point out that I have been putting on sunscreen for my walks since the first time when I got sun burnt.

2 months today!

Well my little bubba boy is 2 months old today. I can't believe it, it has both gone so fast and at the same time so slow!! I am also very pleased to report that he slept through the night!! Yay!!

Down side to having a baby...... Putting on weight and saggy tummy :(
So I have decided to do something about it. I want to lose about 15 kilos and tone up. But have been finding it hard with a baby that only cat naps during the day (more on that later), so I have decided to walk. It's something that we can do, I put him in the pram and off we go. I've been 3 days in a row now, and we've done about 9-10km each time and I'm going to go at least 4 times a week and on the other days we'll go for a shorter 2-3km walk.

Well time to ready for today's walk.....

Midnight rumbles

So last night I was laying in bed, almost asleep when suddenly a massive noise erupts from my son's bottom!!! He sleeps next to my side of the bed in a hammock and last night he obviously had gas. It was SOO loud that both my husband and I burst out laughing. Luckily Bumpy stayed asleep and luckily there was no follow though poos! How can such a loud noise come from such a small person?!?! Babies are funny!!!

Good thing about today....
Went for a long walk with a friend which was great.
Bad thing.... I got sunburnt :( will have to remember sun screen tomorrow

Ok so....

Ok so I'm not that good at keeping up with posts!! In fact I've been pretty darn terrible, so I am going to start to try and add a few thoughts every days or at least a few times a week!

Today was a great day! Bubs slept through til 4:30 before needing a feed, I then got woken up with breakfast in bed, homemade pancakes, strawberries and maple syrup all very yummy! We then went for a walk to the other end of town, which is a 10km round trip.

Good things about yesterday... Finally it was the right time to plant most of the veggies in the new veggie garden. I do all my planting by the moon and yesterday it was just right for plants that produce above the ground. So we planted 2 types of zucinni, yellow squash, snow peas, sugar snap peas (yummy!!), beans, spinach, celery, red chilli and wombok. As well as the veggies we planted a range of herbs, flat leaf parsley, mint, Vietnamese mint, chives, basil, thyme, coriander and oregano. Next weekend we will be planting below ground things like leek, red onions and carrots. I can't wait til we can start harvesting and eating our very own organic home grown veggies. Just have to keep the dog off the garden!!

Funny mum thing......
As I am writing this, my husband had just finished bathing our bub and was bringing him to the change table to put on his clothes when he spewed ALL over himself and needed to go back in the bath! Ok, so you probably needed to be here for it to be funny!

Well it's now time to get dinner ready, til next time xx
