We've just had the in laws here for almost a week which has for the most part been good. I'm pretty lucky in that I have really good in laws, they are nice, easy to get a long with (for the most part) and family oriented which is good. Though like all in laws they do some things differently to my family. Also specific to my in laws, well more specifically my mother in law, she didn't have her in laws around at all, because her husbands parents were in uk (though both now deceased).
It was good for bubba having lots of love flung his way, but on the last day I was getting pretty sick of hearing "say hello grandma" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. First time, kind of cute but the 5 million, 978 thousand, 452nd time is not so cute. Anyway rant over!
Bad thing about having a baby #257 the flabby tummy you get left with once bub is on the outside. Now I know we shouldn't compare ourselves to others but seriously, one of my good friends has just had her 3rd child (3 weeks younger than my bub) and you can't even tell! So unfair especially seeing I still look 6 months :( . So I have decided to do something about it and started body trim yesterday. I am on day 2 of the protein detox and well I'm sporting a wicked headache. 1 more day to go then I'm on the weight loss phase. I'm going to lose 20 kilos and look a great size 10-12. I am currently a 14-18 depending on the brand. So wish me luck and I'll be letting you know my progress.
Rambling thoughts about the ups and downs of being a new mum, moving states and possibly country, and random life happenings!

Oh and did I mention.....
On the weekend my hubby made a fantastic discovery....... The strawberry plants that are wayyyyyyy down the back yard and were given up for dead have produced a massive crop of oober yummy strawberries!! Yay!!! It is quite amazing really, given that we haven't watered them, ever! Oh, and they are so sweet and yummy, small but oh so good. Yummy!! Can't wait to have some more.
What do babies dream about?
I've often wondered this, given that my bubba is 3 months old and hasn't exactly experienced a whole lot of things, what exactly does he dream about? Sometimes when he's sleeping he smiles, which is totally cute, and sometimes he suckles, so maybe he is hungry? But last night I think he was having bad dreams :( he was crying and whinging and grizzling even though he was fast asleep. I ended up getting him out of his bed and hugging him for ages. But what could he possibly be dreaming? Makes you wonder!!

Good thing, bad thing!
So one of the good things about being pregnant was that my hair got thick and shiny and grew heaps with minimal falling out, some of the curl even came back!
Now that bubby is well and truley on the outside my hair has started to fall out in droves. I seem to find it everywhere.....on my clothes, my pillow, my brush and comb, the floor and even sometimes wrapped up in bubba's fist!
At least my finger nails still seem to be growing long and strong!
So the reason for the lack of posts recently is that we got cought in Adelaide due to the Qantas fleet grounding. While it seemed to bother a whole bunch of people it didn't bother us as it meant we got an extended holiday with Qantas picking up the bill. How nice of them!! And as an added bonus we got an email today saying they'd like to send us on another trip either domestically or to new Zealand, which seems very nice of them!
I made an oober yummy and oober healthy veggie soup today but now have a blister on my finger from all the chopping!
